Cameron is now 21.5 months old. I cannot figure out where the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday we were counting down the weeks until his arrival, and now we are counting down to his SECOND BIRTHDAY!!!
Stats:
At 21 months Cameron went through a growth spurt
He is sticking to his weight of 29lbs (where he has been for 10 months!) but he is now measuring in at 36 inches tall!
Cameron is picking up new words every day. He isn't stringing them together yet, and sometimes it still sounds like gibberish, but he is definitely trying to communicate with us! His new favorite thing to do is wrinkle up his nose, sniff and say "Smell" every time he smells something new.
He has been very good about going to bed and down for a nap. For a while he would fight wit us every day, but now he will just lay there quietly until he falls asleep. My favorite part is when out of nowhere he hugs or kisses me and says "night night" while he is trying to fall asleep.
Cameron has lost his interest in hugs and kisses for the most part. He is still the world's best snuggler, but he prefers to blow kisses or give high fives now.
Cameron gets so excited when his daddy gets home from work. He watches out the window and starts shrieking and jumping when he sees the car pull in the drive way. Then he runs over to the gate at the top of our stairs and waits for him yelling "Dada!" When Tim finally opens the door Cameron is overcome with joy and jumps around clapping and getting excited. I am pretty sure this is also Tim's favorite part of his day.
Cameron loves cleaning. Every time I am cleaning he wants to be right in there helping. He loves to sweep or use a sponge to clean the floors and he LOVES anything that involves the water being turned on.
Cameron is a great swimmer. He doesn't need our help at all, just some floaties and he is ready to go. He loves being in the water. Whether it is the tub, the pool or his sprinkler, Cameron is in heaven.
Cameron is a very polite boy. He says "please" "Excuse me" and although he can't say "thank you" or "you're welcome" he always says "mmhmmm" when you tell him "thank you"
I love every minute of being home with this little guy. Being Cameron's mom is the most exciting thing to ever happen to me, and I wouldn't trade it for a minute. <3
