Cameron's Big Boy Room

I have called Cameron my little monkey since before he was born. He is always causing mischief and climbing on everything and in general being a monkey lol. I suppose this is why his favorite tv show is Curious George. Anyway, about 2 months ago, I went to check on Cameron to see if he had fallen asleep yet, and I found that he had climbed out of his crib! I nearly had a heart attack as the images of him plummeting to the ground and cracking his head open flooded my mind. I immediately took out the bumper and anything extra and hoped that it would stop him from being able to climb out. It worked...for two days. I went to check on him during his nap two days after the initial incident and found him sitting on top of the attached changing table turning the light on and off. Since I was terrified of what could happen, we decided it was time Cameron got a big boy bed. Normally, this just consists of buying a bed and taking down the crib, but not for Cameron's room.

Since we are staying in the apartment my family has used for a century, there is a lot of "love" and "character" about the place that isn't always baby friendly. Cameron's room was my room as a child and still had the pink and purple wall paper up! We started by removing the wall paper...and found a second layer of wall paper, so we removed that too. it took about 6 hours, but not too bad. Then we realized that the wall paper was up because of the condition of the walls. Tim then repaired the walls as best he could and the painting started! It took 3 coats to completely cover the walls, but I am very happy with the end result. Cameron picked out a dinosaur theme and now his big boy room is all decorated for a cute little boy.

The Buffalo Zoo

We have season passes to the Aquarium Niagara, the Buffalo Zoo, and the Buffalo Museum of Science. Cameron loves learning about new things and will happily spend time running around to look at everything. Here are a few pictures from a recent trip to the Buffalo Zoo. The weather wasn't very good this day, so we didn't stay very long

This is the gorilla that escaped!

Hugs, Snuggles, and Sleeping Funny

I had a few random cute pictures, and some more to add to "The Many Ways That Cameron Sleeps" so I thought I would put them here

This kid loves his dad

Too much fun equals a nap in the ball pit

Cameron in his pillow nest watching a cartoon

Hugs for daddy

Sleeping like a goof

Fun In The Tub

Cameron is a little fish and loves bath time. Every night after dinner when we ask if he is ready for his bath he yells "Yay!" and gets very excited. He loves to splash and play with his bath toys, and of course, make a huge mess for mom and dad :)

BUBBLE MONSTER

He is so funny

He looks very mischievous here

Cameron loves to dump water out of his cup....sometimes he misses the tub lol

Don't mess with me haha

CHEESE!

Potty Training

Cameron started potty training at 16 months. He had shown interest in it for quite some time, so we finally bought him a potty seat. He has done WONDERFULLY! So far he has mastered poop, but not pee. (Which is funny because it is totally opposite of most kids) He knows when he has to go, and at 18 months will now wait until there is a bathroom to go. Since he started we have only changed 4 poopy diapers, and only because it was during a week when we were all very sick and we couldn't make it to   the bathroom on time. He is so proud of using the potty and we all clap and cheer. Cameron even says "I did it" and claps and flushes the toilet. I am so proud of my little guy!!!

This was before he got his potty seat

Our Stay at The Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel

Grandma Mary wanted to see Bobby Vinton perform at The Seneca Niagara Casino. Tim took her to the show and Cameron and I stayed in the hotel room. Tim, Cameron and I spent time in the pool before the show, and all four of us had a nice dinner and breakfast there as well. Here are some pictures of our trip

Cameron loved the view form the 26th floor

It was a pretty big hotel room, and Cameron loved exploring it

He especially loved hiding in this closet

This was Cameron's first time in a big swimming pool

He loved it!

Back to playing in the closet

Sitting on the chair like a big boy

End of winter

We didn't have much of a winter this year. Cameron was only able to play in the snow once and go outside to see the snow fall a couple other times. Not that I am complaining, I HATE the snow!!! We did have plenty of fun inside playing games and spending time together as a family :)

I love my "Da-Deeee"

We have great chats and snuggles :)

Bath Monster!

Outside to watch the snow fall. I was fascinated with watching it from the window, so Mommy took me outside to see it

Hmmmm

"OK I'm done"

Cameron loves to build block towers

And he LOVES to knock them down too!

And then take them apart piece by piece lol

Climbing on Mommy

"Shhh Don't tell Daddy where I am hiding"

"Ahhh, I found you!"

We love to play hide and seek
